Homecoming festivities prior to Oklahoma State's football game against Kansas were marred Saturday as a car crashed into a crowd along a parade route in Stillwater, killing four.
Stillwater mayor John Bartley, per Evan Anderson of KWTV, initially confirmed that three died and 27 people were airlifted to local hospitals. However, Stillwater Police later reported that a two-year-old girl also died from injuries sustained in the incident, per Phillip O'Connor of the Oklahoman.
Anderson went on to reveal that a total of 10 people were in critical condition.
On Sunday, Adacia Avery Chambers was being held on four charges of second-degree murder, per the Associated Press. Earlier in the day, Payne County District Attorney Laura Austin Thomas said Chambers will "likely" be charged with suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, according to Matt Dinger of NewsOK.com.
Oklahoma State said Chambers is not a student and was not part of the parade, according to Cody McDonell of KWTV in Oklahoma.
